Solar Eclipse, UFO, Rainbow or Cirrostratus?

During my last visit to Thailand, I witnessed something amazing. All of a sudden, the sun was covered by clouds and we had this beautiful view for few minutes. It looked very much like a solar eclipse but actually it was not. Just by the sides of the clouds surrounding the sun, there were even some colours, which made it look like a round rainbow. It was just surprising!

Later on I found out that scientifically, this is called cirrostratus.

You could even go further and think it could be an UFO (unidentified flying object) if that was a Hollywood movie.

Well anyways, it was really fun. Check out the video!

Note: Real solar eclipse 2017 is happening on 21 August 2017 and is visible in different parts of the world. Catch if you can!
